I remember when the BBC (in the UK) was testing transmission of its second channel, BBC2, and it was so brilliantly amazing to nearly have a third TV channel that I can recall listening to the programmes intently, while I tried to figure out what the static-fuzzy characters onscreen were doing! Back in 1970s, there were NO computer games. You actually had to make friends with other kids in the neighborhood, and then play non-computer games like marbles, hide-and-seek, chasey, cowboys and indians, etc. We also had to use our imagination to play cowboys and indians / cops and robbers. The really rich kids sometimes got cap guns and costumes... boy, the rest of us were SO jealous! AND we had to walk 25 miles to school each day... uphill both ways, in the freezing snow, with the boiling desert sun beating down on us! NO! WAIT! I've become like my parents! ARGGGGGG!!!!! Hah!!!
