Search Engine Optimization, or SEO for short is becoming an incredibly powerful tool. If you own a business or a website, you will want to make sure you are using the most relevant SEO to help your website place higher in the search engine results. You may have the best product descriptions and the best keywords, but there is another factor in SEO you may not know about; internal link structure.

An internal link structure is incredibly important if you want to become more recognized. Internal linking promotes a great, healthy link flow to and from your site. They allow you to strategically target specific landing pages. This is very important because with the right internal link structure, you can use some of the weaker pages and help them receive better traffic. Here are 4 ways you can improve your internal link structure.

Interlink All Your Main SEO Pages
It is a great idea to have your strongest pages be available on your weaker ones. When you provide more links to the beginning of your site, people can navigate in and out of your pages. This cuts down on hitting the “back” button while surfing. When customers go to each individual page, instead of backwards, there is more of a potential to get higher visits.

Provide International Links
Since exposure is the first step into getting new clients, why not have numerous links that reach outside your own country? This helps the results numbers increase. Although you may run a business that doesn’t ship outside of your country, the numbers that keep rising will only help your results in a search engine.

Have A Top Products Page

If you own a retail site, you are going to want to expose your products as often as you can. One way to do that is to have a “Top Products” page. This will give customers the chance to see all of your famous products on one page. They won’t have to roam around the site looking for popular items. While a process like that will initially raise numbers, customers may eventually get frustrated and simply quit.

Sidebar Navigation
A real easy way to help users navigate your site quickly is to have a side bar navigation. They should have easy access to links such as “item last viewed” or even “go to shopping cart”. Your customer wants to purchase items from you from your company website , but they won’t want to jump through hoops. Make it simple, and they will come back for more.

  1. As a visitor at times, it is a important factor for me to easily browse a website. I need all stuffs organized in one area then from there, I could simply enjoy reading the contents of the website. I am not really that pleased with so many ads or things pointing to nowhere. A simple and well organized site without too much design will do.
