Hot new car audio receiver

This post brought to you by Dual Electronics. All opinions are 100% mine.

What's a mobile receiver you ask, I thought it was just a radio. Well this new unit by Dual Electronics packs too many features into this unit to call it a car radio.

The XDMA6630 includes bluetooth, usb, a wireless remote control, and a 3.5mm auxiliary input and 2-RCA preamp outputs.

Use the USB to connect your iPod or iPhone as you listen to your tunes and charge your device at the same time. This is a feature I'm really excited about. I'm using a 3.5mm mini stereo auxiliary jack with my factory stereo to connect my iPhone but it doesn't charge at the same time and the sound quality is not the best. Using USB will give me better sound and let me charge the phone at the same time!

The Bluetooth includes an external microphone to increase the sound quality of the phone. When you get an incoming call the music will pause and you can hear the caller though your car speaker.

At a list price of $180 you can't go wrong with this unit check it out at Dual Electronics

My old Ford F150 doesn't have any option to connect my iPhone to its factory radio so I'm excited to get my hands on the XDMA6630 and give my old truck some new life.

  1. I think all sound systems should now have USB as standard for iPod/MP3 players, I’ve got one in my Mini and it’s so much better than having a mass of CDs in the glove box 😉

  2. Any more, a radio has to be more to even be considered. Went to a car lot the other day, and when salesperson asked me what features I wanted, I thought just a motor, 4 doors, and a key will be wonderful…but the things that are offered anymore are AMAZING. A car isn’t just a car anymore.
