I just upgraded to wordpress 2.6 using WordPress Automatic Upgrade
The process went nice and smooth with no issues. I had to update tantan’s google reports plugin with a file from the support forums, but other than that all plugins worked without an issue.

I can’t get Gregarious,LinkWorth, and LinkXL plugins to work.

Tags: gregarious, upgrade, WordPressI just upgrade this to wordpress 2.5.1 from 2.3.3, updated and tweaked most to get most of the plugins working. I still have a few to fix or just stop using.
Now I just need to start testing everything. If someone would please leave a quick post that knows that have a gravtar icon setup, so I can see if that is working. I know there is the export feature, but that grabs all information and it sounds like it is to import into a new wordpress site not an existing.
Any ideas?

Tags: google, postnuke, WordPressI moved Benway.Net to Wordpress, I’ve had to move my site 3 times this year because postnuke wasn’t closing the db connections. Let’s hope wordpress handles things better 
I don’t know if it was the core or a module of postnuke causing the issue. I didn’t know enough about it to e figure it out. Plus the most of my hits weren’t using any of the extras in postnuke, so moving to wordpress really won’t cause me to lose anything other than the flash games, which I still mights setup in a subdomain.
I realized during the most that I had a TON of comment spam on the postnuke site, that come over with the conversion script so I’ll have to spend some time cleaning that up. But I think all the old post made it over. If anyone knows how to get akismet to scan old comments please let me know.
I’ve still got a lot of clean up to do and find a better them.

Testing Intense Debate
Even with the integration with EntreCard, Sezwho never really seem to add value to this sites comments. I also didn’t see any additional comments or traffic from using sezwho. So I decided to give the Intense Debate plug-in.
I installed the plug-in last night and it finished syncing my comments. I currently have a recent comments widget on my sidebar, would someone please leave a comment so I can see if that widget still works.
Also I’m using commentluv, I’m wondering if that will work with the intense debate plug-in.
Please let me know your experiences and if you like the new system.
