Today Daunte Culpepper signed a two year contract with the Detroit Lions, if this was two years again this might be a cause for cheers. Today it just means that the Lions will waste another two years trying to decide what they want to be when they grow up.
Yes Culpepper ‘should’ be better than Orlovsky, but Daunte really hasn’t shown any pro-bowl skills since his 05 injury. If the Lions did this at the beginning of the year, I’d be more excited. But at 0-7 and with Roy gone, Daunte has less weapons, has to learn the system, and deal with a team wide losing attitude. But I’m a football fan so I’ll still watch and wish.
